ChimeNote is a freeware service provided by Chime Softwares Ltd. ChimeNote.com aims to offer its users a simple interface for unifying non-crucial personal information. We DO NOT collect Personally Identifiable Information (your name, e-mail address, street address, telephone number) via this website. Please note this policy applies only to information collected by ChimeNote.com online and does not impact information collected or used by Chime Softwares Ltd. through other means.

What information do we gather

What information we collect and store depends on the page you are visiting, the activities in which you elect to participate and the services provided. You can visit most pages of our site without providing any information. However, if you wish to create an account on our servers, then you need to provide us with a unique username and password combination. We DO NOT prompt you to give us any information that can identify you personally. Username and password is all that is minimally required. We also store when your account was created.

What about cookies?

Unlike most Web sites that provide the "Log In" feature, ChimeNote.com does not require the user of cookies. If cookies are enabled on your browser, they may be used for session management. We DO NOT collect any Personally Identifiable Information. The only information we collect is for the purpose of generating web site statistics, namely your browser agent and the operating system you use. We DO NOT provide this information to any third party unless required by a Government Agency for legal purposes.

Access to personal information

Due to the way this website and software are designed, Chime Softwares Ltd. does not have access to decrypt your password and notes from the database stored on our servers. However, due to the nature of the Internet, there is a minute possibility that our servers may be hacked and the database containing your notes could be compromised. By creating an account on the ChimeNote.com website, you hereby agree that Chime Softwares Ltd. cannot be held liable for any damage, misuse, or losses caused directly or indirectly by the ChimeNote website and software application. Rest assured that since the notes within the database are encrypted with your password, it is near impossible for any hacker to decrypt the information contained therein.

Type of information stored

We recommend that you DO NOT store any Personally Identifiable Information on your ChimeNote account. We highly discourage you from storing credit card numbers, social security numbers, drivers' license ids etc. on ChimeNote.com. Chime Softwares Ltd. shall not be held liable in case unscrupulous hackers gain access to your personal notes by illegal means. By creating an account on the ChimeNote.com website, you agree that you shall not hold Chime Softwares Ltd. liable in case your personal notes are leaked due to hacking attempts, software failure, insecure application design, or any other reasons.

Children

ChimeNote.com does not knowingly collect or solicit Personally Identifiable Information from or about children under 13 under any circumstances. If we discover we have received any information from a child under 13 in violation of this policy, we will delete that information immediately. If you believe ChimeNote.com has any information from or about anyone under 13, please contact us immediately.

ChimeNote.com is controlled, operated and administered entirely within the United States.
